This special performance “welcomes spring” and commemorates the many voices that have been silenced throughout time and can now be heard. The Main Choir ensembles – Cantare, Chorealis, and the award-winning Chamber Choir – offer hope and new life through the retelling of these stories in song. The program includes works by Toronto composers Larysa Kuzmenko, Shireen Abu-Khader and Hussein Janmohamed, Montreal composer Marie-Claire Saindon, Debussy’s Salut Printemps and Robert Schumann’s Mädchenlieder, Op. 103.
