This is a special concert for the West Ottawa Ladies Chorus. Their founding conductor, Robert Dueck, is stepping down and this will be his last concert. A new conductor will take over in the Fall.
The concert will feature a selection of favourite songs the Chorus has sung over the last 8 years. It will be a wonderful celebration of Robert’s eight years with the Chorus and the selections will range from Henry Purcell’s “Sing and Rejoice” accompanied by guest trumpeter Steve Gibb, to the American classic “Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy” and the beautiful “Cape Breton Lullaby”. It’s a concert not to be missed for its special significance.
The venue is St. Paul’s Anglican Church at 20 Young Road, Kanata K2L 1W1 and the time is 7:00 pm. Tickets are $15-$20 and further information is available on the website at www.westottawaladieschorus.ca
