Join CAMMAC Toronto for a “Canadian Choral Celebration”, featuring a wide array of compelling repertoire by some of this country’s finest composers, songwriters and arrangers — from iconic folk songs to world premieres of contemporary choral gems. The Reading will be led by Jenny Crober, Artistic Director of VOCA Chorus of Toronto. Jenny Crober, MusBac (UWO), has had a richly varied music career of over 45 years as a choral conductor, collaborative pianist, teacher, coach, clinician, arranger, dance accompanist and a
cappella vocalist. In 2025, Jenny was deeply honoured to receive the King Charles III Coronation Medal in recognition of her many years of dedication to community music-making, and in celebration of her 20 years as VOCA’s artistic director.
Selections (both a cappella and with piano accompaniment) at this all-Canadian reading will include compositions which were recently premiered by VOCA by Sarah Quartel, Andrew Balfour, Mark Sirett and Matthew Emery, along with works by Sherryl Sewepagaham, Katharine Petkovski, Stephanie Martin, Stan Rogers and Joni Mitchell.
