We’re having an Open House on Wednesday, September 4, 11 and 18, 2019 and are looking for singers to join our choir. We are particularly looking for Basses, Tenors and Sopranos.
Achill Choral Society is a 75 member mixed voice choir based in Caledon, just east of Orangeville. We’ve been performing since 1982 and our repertoire ranges from challenging classical works to contemporary and traditional pieces. We perform two concert series a year with performances rotating between Alliston, Bolton and Orangeville.
ACHILL is flourishing under the expert leadership of our artistic director, Shawn Grenke, who also works with several of Canada’s leading professional choirs, including as co-conductor/accompanist to the Amadeus Choir and accompanist to the Elmer Iseler Singers. Sing with us as we grow musically under the Shawn’s inspirational direction. The choir maintains an excellent standard of performance, attracting guest soloists and accompanists of the highest calibre.
