Lang’s “The Little Match Girl Passion” – Capital Chamber Choir

CCC is proud to present our reprise of David Lang’s “The Little Match Girl Passion” and selected works. Based on the Hans Christian Andersen story, “The Little Match Girl” is influenced by Johann Sebastian Bach’s “St. Matthew Passion” and won the Pulitzer Prize for Music in 2008.CCC will also perform selected choral works by Rebecca Gray, Emily Green, Reena Ismail, and Jocelyn Morlock.
A portion of CCC’s ticket sales will be donated to the St. Joe’s Women’s Centre, a charity that is dedicated to the needs of low income/homeless women, those that identify as women, and their children, in a supportive and safe environment.
