Within our city there are gems that highlight the connection between what we are and what we can become. Since 1976 the Serenata Singers mixed-voice choir has been one of those gems, transforming the hearts of senior singers who would otherwise not have ventured into the spotlight, giving them a true voice and inspiring future generations to follow.
In 2024-2025, as in the past, this 58 voice ensemble gathers under the direction of accomplished Music Director, Michael Morgan, to discover the nuances, and develop the techniques that make music touch the soul. This year Michael is sharing his talents and expertise to guide us toward another memorable performance.
Our May concerts, Tuned in-Radio and TV Favourite Songs, will celebrate the contributions of many composers and librettists who have lended their talents to entertain and enchant by enhancing radio and TV programing. Some selections will be very familiar such as the well loved Edelweiss featured in the television series The Man in the High Castle, and I Got the Sun in the Mornin’ popularized by Doris Day and featured in an episode of Hawaii Five-O. Others with a more classical flair, like Cantique de Jean Racine, and Adiemus will leave you guessing where you have heard them before. Upbeat toe tappers and thoughtful reflections will make you Glad We Had This Time Together. Join us as we do Another Opening, Another Show! Your ticket awaits!
