St. Mark’s has a youth program called Faith, Rattle and Soul that combines drama, dance, instruments and music with biblical teachings. Musical instruments, dance elements and drama are part of the Arts experience. Youth from both the church and community are involved. The ability to provide musical instruction on a variety of instruments would be advantageous. The Music Coordinator and Youth Performing Arts director is supported by the Child and Youth Ministry Coordinator, parents and congregational members who work under your leadership.
We have a Kawai piano, new Yamaha electronic keyboard and audio visual system and a variety of musical instruments (violins, guitars) for use in the Faith, Rattle and Soul program.
We are in the process of exploring new ways of including music in our worship services. We are searching for an individual who is open to these new experiences and drawing out each person’s potential. The successful candidate is one who would include opportunities for choir and soloist participation, instrumental selections, and performances by the Bell Choir and Faith, Rattle and Soul Youth.
The use of the church could be made available for private lessons.
